Winc

Winc is an existing brand based in shipping and selling wine that is both created by the company and curated to be sold and distributed alongside brand Wines. The project presented here is the culmination of a group project between McKenna Caldwell, Nayeli Cordano, and myself. The goal of this project was to assess and uplift the existing brand to be more cohesive and representative of its unique selling points and business.

Although all brand elements were developed as a team, we each had our own branding pieces to develop for the project as a whole. Nayeli Cordano was responsible for developing the rebranding and flow of both the website and mobile app, McKenna Caldwell was responsible for developing the unboxing experience of the wine sample kit as well as the Instagram campaign, and lastly I was responsible for creating the visual style, web banner advertisements, and the rebranded questionnaire.

The Brand

About

Winc is an online wine service that delivers right to your door. Our team creates and curates over a hundred wines. We make the experience of expanding your wine palette simple and enjoyable for a price that you can afford. We help to broaden your knowledge of wine while teaching you the history of where your bottles come from. Our personalized quiz helps us narrow down your taste preferences to select the right wines for you.

Unique Selling Point

Winc is the only brand that uses customer feedback to produce wine specifically for you.

Mission statement

Winc makes it all about you when we create and curate our wines. By keeping you in the loop and listening to your feedback, Winc aims to reinvent how people experience a great bottle of wine.

Visual Style

The collage and candid photography styles were developed to further push the concept that Winc is a brand that compiles the efforts of various vineyards and our customers to continuously improve the selection of wines available. Mixing and matching various components in a candid yet stylish way fits well with Wincs business practices without simply being fashionable for the sake of being fashionable.

Website

The website was designed to introduce new customers to Winc with a steady flow of information concerning what Winc stands for, providing a clear location to present our featured palette quiz, and to allow for seamless browsing through Wincs selection of wines and wine boxes.

Mobile App

Although the mobile app shares common functionality with the main website, its purpose is further streamline the process of customizing and ordering your monthly subscription as a member who has already signed up for the monthly delivery service. Rather than returning to the website every time one wishes to select the wines they wish for every month, an established member may get straight to browsing from their phone while also seeing reviews and pairings as more readily available information.

Packaging

Presented above is an example of what one may find upon unboxing a sampler kit. The purpose of the design and contents is both to be fun and informative concerning your introduction to the services that Winc provides.

Questionnaire

The questionnaire is a key component to the introductory process to Winc. Winc is dedicated to educating its members about their wine as well as informing new comers to the world of wine what their taste may be through a series of questions. Though brief, the questions represent a median of newcomer friendly questions concerning tastes in other categories that may help you identify what types of wine m.ight be best for them to start with

Web Banners

The web banners developed are intended to draw in curiosity for Winc and the information Winc provides along side its service as a monthly wine box service. Kept short and sweet for readability, the web banners seek to provide visuals that pop enough to get interested individuals to take the wine palette quiz and thus get more people involved in the process and services of Winc.
